The village of Foiano della Chiana is a hill top medieval town situated in the Val di Chiana, and this property sits atop the highest hill in the village. It was therefore once believed to be the Casa Padronale of the village during 'sharecropping' times.
This country manor house dates back to the 1700's, and has been carefully renovated in the late 90s'. There are three main floors, and each floor currently has a lay-out designed for private living as there is a kitchen on each floor as well as bedrooms and bathrooms. The property has not been divided up into portions, as the grand staircase leads from the entrance hall to the top floor. The main kitchen is on the ground floor, and the two kitchens on the upper floors can simply be converted into morning lounges, play-area, library or a study, depending on owners requirements.
The Main House

The guesthouse enjoys independent access and is situated close to the main house whilst maintaining a good level of privacy. Measuring approx' 150 m2 this single floor building has been divided into two apartments each composed of a spacious kitchen/diner, two bedrooms and one bathroom. There is a cellar below the guesthouse which is part garage part wine cellar currently housing the owners lifetime collection of fine wines.
Gardens & Grounds
From the gardens and terraces you can enjoy views over some of Tuscany's most scenic landscapes. The whole property is surrounded by park-garden with tall trees, cypress trees, hedges and an olive grove with 140 olive trees for a total of 5.900 m2 of land. The Villa for sale can be accessed via two separate entrances, one of which consists of an avenue leading into the park-garden via the olive groves. There is a large swimming pool situated on the south side of the gardens. On the north side of the park there is a small wooden house with wood-burning oven used for al-fresco dining and BBQ's.
Situated in the province of Arezzo, midway between Siena and Perugia, close to some of Tuscany's most scenic medieval hill-top towns such as Lucignano, Cortona, and Castiglion Fiorentino.
