Dievole & Poggio Landi purchased by Argentinian billionaire Bulgheroni...

One of the Chianti's largest and most historic wine estates has been purchased by Argentine Alejandro Pedro Bulgheroni, who also owns vineyards in Argentina, Uruguay, and California. Bulgheroni has also bought Poggio Landi in the Montlacino area for a reported 15 million euros. The 134 Ha estate with 25 Ha of vineyards formerly belonged to Stefano Cinelli Columbini, owner of Fattoria Dei Barbi.

Purchased from the Schwenn family, Dievole is located 15 Km north of Siena, Dievole consists of 80 Ha of vineyards, substantial olive groves, and a luxury boutique hotel. Bulgheroni has plans to rennovate the estate, adding a new wine cellar and restoring some of the old farmhouses within the grounds.
